Current IMC Student Shameka Jordan
IMC student Shameka Jordan has held roles in the marketing & communications field since 2002 with experience in B2B, B2C and B2G. She most recently entered the non-profit sector as the Marketing Manager for United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) where her duties include direct marketing, social media, advertising, website management, event promotion and email marketing. Shameka chose the WVU IMC program to gain a better understanding of non-profit marketing and how to best utilize each of her skills in a more integrated approach.
IMC Graduate Hollis Kara
My IMC experience was the door to greater opportunity. Over the course of my studies, I moved into a management role at the American Registry for Internet Numbers, one of the five Regional Internet Registries worldwide. Currently I am in charge of internal and external communication strategy, planning, and implementation with a focus on community education and member engagement. The program allowed me to balance my educational pursuits with demanding work and family schedules. While my company has a very niche audience in the non-profit, technical sector I found something in every course that I could apply directly to my work, and the wide range of experiences that my professors and classmates brought to our discussion gave me new and valuable perspectives.
Current IMC Student Kevin Kestler
Current IMC student Kevin Kestler has lived in the DC Metro area his whole life and knew that it would take something extra to help him stand out in a competitive job market. He wanted a program that would be flexible enough to accommodate his hectic schedule and with practical lessons that could be applied immediately in the workplace. Kevin found that the WVU IMC program fit his needs perfectly.
