Lisa Sands keeps a full schedule. She’s the mother of a high school senior. She’s married to a pediatrician with a busy practice. And, she works full-time as a marketing team leader at the Whole Foods Market in University Heights, Ohio. After accumulating 20 years of experience in PR, advertising, promotions and marketing, Sands decided to enroll in WVU’s IMC master’s degree program.
As an account supervisor at a Cleveland integrated marketing firm, IMC graduate Kelly McGlumphy works with clients that range from New York Stock Exchange traded companies to nonprofit organizations to startups – delivering all of their communications needs from media relations to strategy to social media. She wanted to find a program that would allow her to further her education and also benefit her clients.
Current IMC student Nicole Hagy is the Communications Coordinator at Invent Now in North Canton, OH. She’s an active volunteer and serves as a WVU IMC student blogger. During a job hunt in 2010, Nicole felt she was being passed over because her competitors seemed to be pursuing or already had a graduate education. She found a full-time job, enrolled in the WVU IMC program and has never looked back.
