Niki in the Garden: The Extraordinary Sculptures of Niki de Sainte Phalle remains one of our most exciting assignments-ever. Our Graphis award-winning book project started with our client asking to create a brochure that would document the temporary exhibition at the Garfield Park Conservatory. Well, once we took a look at the art on location, and experienced the sheer size of the sculptures, all contained within these exquisite and rare plant forms presented within the stunning conservatory, we knew we had a story. We asked the team to research and document for us each plant species in the exhibit so that we could educate and raise the awareness to the reader just how special this sacred place is. We went on location in the sunshine to capture the artwork, and channeled Niki and wrote the large quotes for each section. A remarkable opportunity that we will always remember.
