Digital Marketing Communications Program


 Center for Creative Media

After completing only one course, the DMAC student has full access to the equipment in Hilbert College's Center for Creative Media. The Center has three High Definition video editing suites, an iMac computer lab, and a dedicated Audio recording suite. Classes are also taught in a Mac lab equipped with 24 iMac computers. Available are professional quality HD digital video cameras and DSLR cameras, digital audio recorders, various levels of tripods and lighting kits as well as a Stedicam system. All of the equipment is available for overnight checkout by DMAC students. The Center for Creative Media is solely dedicated to DMAC students and is accessible at all hours by request. All video edit suites are equipped with the newest Adobe Production Premium and Design Premium applications including Premier, After Effects and Photoshop. Video camera capabilities range from Full HD1080p to Standard definition 480i, and most cameras are 24p capable as well. We have also recently added a line of Canon 7D HDSLR cameras for filmmaking purposes. Take a look at student work on the department's Youtube page and like the department's Facebook page. As a background, I have owned a web development, marketing & hosting company since 1998 and have significant experience in online opt-in lead generation.
You need to be VERY careful sending bulk emails to any recipients that did not directly opt-in with you, and even if they did, you still must follow some very specific requirements when sending bulk email, including full disclosure of sender's address, an easy method to opt out and honoring opt-out requests in a timely manner, etc.
Companies considering an email marketing program must make sure that their program does not violate spam laws such as the United States' CAN-SPAM Act (Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act), the European Privacy & Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 or their Internet provider's acceptable use policy
